High Integrity Corrosion Resistant Piping
VARIETY OF PIPE LININGS

Fluoroline-T - PTFE (Polytetrafluoroelthylene) provides unmatched chemical resistance at service temperatures to 200 Deg. C. Because its carbon chains are completely fluorinated, PTFE is chemically inert to the following broad range of commercial chemicals.

All acids including hydrofluoric, hydrocholric, sulphuric and aqua regia.
All Chlorides - organic and inorganic.
All Sulphades - organic and inorganic.
All bleach solutions, solvents, caustics, peroxides and phenols

Combined with the chemical inertness of Fluoroflex - T are its unsual non-stick properties. Thus, a Fuloroflex - T lined pipe system eliminates and/or minimizes build-up of deposits on the pipe walls which otherwise would reduce flow and possible affect processing operation.

Because of mechanical and thermal expansion factors, Fluoroflex -T Lined Pipe and Fittings are not recommended above 200 Deg. C although there are cases where they have given satisfactory service upto 260 Deg. C

Fluoroline - D (PFA/perfluoroalkoxy) is a new fluorinated thermoplastic with essential the same chemical inertness as PTFE. It is suitable for continuous service to 200 deg C. It is presently used for lining injection moulded fittings.

Fluoroline-F (PVDF/polyvinylidene fluoride(Kynar)) is a fluoropolymer with exellent chemical and heat resistance to 120 Deg. C.It is considerably stronger at ordinary temperatures than TFE,and can be used in piping systems up to 120 Deg. C. However because it is only partially fluorinated (containing 59 percent by weight of fluorine compaired with 76 percent for TFE), its chemical resistance is affected by temperature and concentration of conveyed fluid, as shown in our chemical resistance brochure CR.

Fluroline - PP (polypropylene) is an inexpensive thermoplastic with good chemical and temperature resistance to 100 deg C. Since itschemical resistance is greatly affected by concentration and temperature of conveyed fluids, its use in pressure piping systems should generally not exceed 100 deg C.

Low temperature limit for PVDF (Kynar) and Polypropylene lined piping is -20 Deg.C. TFE linings can be used at lower temperatures if they are provided with housings of special low carbon steel. For applications below - 60 Deg C consult the factory.
