TEFLON PTFE/PFA
Fluoroline-T is chemically inert to all chemicals and solvents throughout the normal temperature range with the exception of molten alkali metals, fluoroline and chlorine trifluoride at high tempe-ratures and pressures. Fluoroline-T has a general service temperature ranging from - 60 deg C to + 200 deg C.

Fluoroline-T lined pipe and fitting are being used to convey, and are inert to, the following chemicals: All acids including hydrofluoric, hydrochloric, sulphuric and aqua regia
All caustics.
All chlorides- organic and inorganic.
All sulphates- organic and inorganic.
All solvents..
All bleach solutions..
All peroxides..
All phenols..
Combined with the chemical inertness of Fluoroline-T is its unusual non-stick property. Thus, a Fluoroline--T lined pipes system eliminates or minimises build-up of deposits on the pipe walls which otherwise reduce flow and affect operations.

POLYPROPYLENE
Fluoroline-P is a polypropylene lining system with excellent high temperature stability and generally excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of commercially used corrossive chemicals and organic compound, including acids, alkalis, some oxidizers and halogens. It is classified as having excellent resistance to weak acids, good resistance to strong acids ( slow attack by oxidizing acids) but is not recommended for use with chlorosulphonic acid or fuming nitric acid even at room temperature. It has excellent resistance to both weak and strong alkalis ans is generally satisfactory with organic solvents below 80 deg C although it is affected by hot aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and benzene.

The detailed chemical-resistance rating table can be used as a guide in determining the applicability in a large number of chemical process piping problems. Where no information indicated in the table, application problems should be referred to the sales office, throughwhom the development of the necessary recommendations by actual test and-or indirect analysis can be expedited.

Combined with the board range of usefulness due to its chemical inertness or resistance, Fluoroline-P has a useful temperature range of as 100 deg C. It retains excellent properties even in applications exposed to hot water or steam temperature as high 110 deg C. All of these properties require careful selection and development of compounds and processing techniques to achieve the optimum performance characteristics.

KYNAR PVDF
Fluoroline-K has excellent chemical resistance to most corrosive chemical and organic compounds including acids, alkalis, strong oxidizers and halogens. It is, however, attacked by fuming sulphuric acid at room temperature, by strong sulphuric and other sulphonating agents at high temperatures. The detailed chemical resistance rating tables can be used a guide to determining applicability in most chemical processes. The operational temperature range is generally -20 deg C. to + 120 deg C.

PVDF is thermally stable and no significant change has been noted even after two years' exposure to a temperature of 150 deg C. The resistance of this resin to gamma radiation is exceptional. At a dosage level of 300 million roentgens (Cobalt 60 source), no change in strength or elongation was noted although there was some darkening in colour of the test specimens.

Fluoroline-K, similar to Fluoroline-T and Fluoroline-F, requires precision controls and techniques to achieve the ultimate in properties and performance. Though many years' work in the USA and Britain,BTR, has gained experience in the processing of what are generally classed as " difficult resins with high performance characteristics and has acquired the necessary procedures and quality controls to assure the optimum product performance and properties .

Fluoroline-K, line pipe and fitings provide relatively low cost, corrosive-resistance, lined piping system in a temperature range not previously possible with any other meterials with exception of Fluoroline-T and Fluoroline-F lined pipe.
Fluoroline-K is a trade mark encompassing vinylidene fluoride resin compounds manufactured into products by BTR
